August 23, 2014

Well, we've been in Loveland for almost 3 months now and although I still frequently look around and think "what the fuck are we doing here?!" (I'm no good at moving) I think things are getting a bit better.  Sulli started Kindergarten and seems to really like his school, Ben is doing cool things at work like traveling to Seattle and demoing a virtual reality system that will "change everything", and I have given notice at work and am moving on to what will hopefully be a better job.  This blog is 2 months worth and a shload of pictures, including trips back to MT and to VA, so enjoy!

Auntie Sue replaced the star that was on the house in the listing per Sulli's request.  He likes it very much.

At the Loveland farmer's market

So patriotic!

The farmer's market has these!  It's our Sunday ritual now.

And it has this awesome river play area as well as a playground, skate park, and splash deck

Carolyn graciously came to help repaint our house.  The all-over-almond-brown look was pretty sweet but...

We think this looks better!

Even the light switches and outlets were painted brown

So brown, everwhere

Much better!

There was blue and white striped wallpaper on the bottom half.

We can't thank Carolyn enough!

We did get back to MT for a family reunion.  Sulli was pretty excited to see Grandpa and tell scary stories

And we got to hang out with awesome people we don't get to see very often.

Ah, Montana

Back home we went to this crazy place in WY called Vedauwoo.

Saw a mommy and 2 baby moose

Saw rocks with big holes in them

Saw a boy eating a sandwich

Another hike

It was a bit steeper than we thought

We didn't make it all the way up, but it was nice anyway

Sulli's awesome summer camp ended.  Sulli was pretty sad about it.  But they had an end of the summer gymnastics meet and Sulli did great!  He learned how to swim  at camp too!

And the fair came to town.  The fair is always a burst of color, but it just isn't as nice without Mount Sentinel in the background.

We ran into our neighbors and they rode with Sulli on one of the kid rides.  They are super nice kids.

John (neighbor boy) and Sulli are lego kindred spirits.  They were all like "I could build that in 3 minutes!"

Ready to jump!

The fair was at the Budweiser event center so of course they had draft horses

And the boy king lost another tooth!

We got to see the Cubs play and get dominated by the Rockies, but it was a perfect night for baseball!  It's a very cool ball park!

Hot dogs and nachos!

And we got to VA.!

Love these kids!

And these kids too!

Girl's pool

Boy's pool(s)

Lots of walks to the park

Many civilized meals

Sulli and Jack watching Pokemon

We went to the botanical gardens and butterfly house.  Very cool.

And we were able to go to the beach!

On a perfectly gorgeous day!

Hi, I'm cute

We missed the mountains though

Sulli's directorial debut!
