August 14, 2011

We spent the last weekend in California for Ben's Cousin's wedding. We had a great time but, if I believed in such nonsense, I would say that the trip was cursed. Dave was sick at first, then I gashed my arm open at the reception (pics are on Ben's fb page), then we got in a fender bender, then Mike got shingles. At least Sulli had a blast. We took him to the train museum in old Sacremento and it was amazing. He did lots of swimming in hotel pools and at the end of the trip we went back to old Sacremento to ride the train. It was great to see our California family and the wedding was beautiful.

Sulli takes rocks from the garden then gets them wet in the sprinkler so that they become "beautiful"
We have had some gorgeous evenings lately

Train museum
With a store stocked with Thomas stuff. We got him a sweet conductor hat which he actually wears!

It was pretty dark in there but there were so many trains
"This one's like the logging locos!"

I love this picture. Sulli truly was a blur all afternoon running from train to train.
The trains you could enter had these wax people. This one is your typical bathroom negro. True to life I am sure, but my jaw was on the ground!
Super sweet electric train set. It was all donated to the museum from one guy's collection (Sulli in 30 years?)

The rehersal dinner was at a fantastic mexican restaurant with an amazing mariachi band.
Sulli was impressed

Snapshot of 4 generations.

Sulli was a stud at the dinner! By the end he was sharing a chair with the long haired girl watching Handy Manny on her ipad while she stroked his back and kissed his cheek. Stud!

Ben's cousin got married at a vinyard in Lodi under this beautiful tree.
This is the first hint of the night. I think Sulli was trying to tell me to watch it that night.
They hand folded all of these cranes that hung from the tree branches. It was beautiful.

Hint #2. Now he is trying to tell Ben to watch out for Mommy.

The train ride was pretty sweet.

Sulli had a blast!

Oh, and Sulli loves to dance!

With or without music.
