June 28, 2014

It has been 1 month since we left Missoula.  It's been an emotional time but we are starting to settle in to our new lives here in Colorado.  Sulli stayed in Missoula for over 2 weeks to finish out the school year and allow us to get the house unpacked and his room ready before he got here (never-ending thanks to Mike and Dave!).  It was way too long to be away from him, but also very helpful since our new house needed some work.
Sulli is in a summer camp in Fort Collins that seems pretty awesome.  They do swimming and gymnastics every day as well as field trips to parks, museums, rock climbing, go to the library...  He likes it but says it is "too ruley".  He misses the relaxed structure of his Montessori and totally takes after his Mother.  I'm not a fan of rules either.
Ben is liking his job but obviously it is a difficult change to go from working for yourself to working for someone else.  My job is okay but the some things about it are taking some adjusting.  For instance, we all have email accounts but nobody emails.  If I want to contact anyone, I have to leave them a voicemail on an antiquated phone system.  Totally bizarre.
We went to the Rocky Mountain National Park today and it was wonderful.  Not quite as beautiful as Glacier, but this park is a scant 45 minutes away.  Pretty awesome.

Last hike in Missoula.  I had lots of  'lasts in Missoula' pics but could only bring myself to put a few of them on the blog.  Still a bit too sad.

Sulli's last hike.  He wanted to stay longer to take in the view.

Last hike with Mary.  Winnie photobombed.

We miss Great Grandma!
In Loveland exploring the sculpture garden.  Any sculpture that Sulli could hop up on, he did.  It's such a cool place!

Short hike to Horsetooth Reservoir from the University.

Poaching the Loveland lake park that closes at 5.  You're SOL, working parents :(

Petting some tail at RMNP.  Beaver tail at that!

Bear Lake

Rock arabesque.

Nymph Lake

Sulli says "Don't throw me over the edge Dad!"

Lots of snow still

Bouldering with Dad

The road in the park is the highest paved road in the US.  We were around 12,000 feet.

Love you all!  Come visit us, eh?!
