May 20, 2012

Hello all.  We are thoroughly enjoying some beautiful weather as I hope you all are as well.  We are hanging out in the new wing of our house a lot, the backyard.  We eat out there, play out there, and lounge on the patio drinking champagne with raspberries out there.
Ben had his art show this month and it was completely amazing.  So interesting, funny, and irreverant.  It was a huge success.  It was, however, followed by the news that Ben did not get the faculty position.  To say that this news was disappointing would be an understatement of epic proportions.  So after several comatose, emotional days, we are moving on to plan B, which is...  Well, we don't really have one yet.  We put all of our egg in one basket, bad move.
Anyway, we will regroup and move forward as best we can.
Olivia is home and adorable and thriving.  Sulli is so sweet to her and thinks she is "sooooo cute!"  We have given them names for each other.  Sulli is Bro-co, and Olivia is Sis-co.  Sounds a lot less West Virginia that brother-cousin and sister-cousin.

Ben's show called 'Originals'.  He created models of famous sculptures (world wide and local) and bastardized them in 3D prints.  My favorite was called 'What!  I'm a giraffe?'  It was 'The Thinker' with a giraffe head.  Funny.

The Wildlife Film Festival started a couple of weeks ago.  It is kicked off by the 'Wild Walk' parade where all the kids in Missoula, it seems, dress up like wild creatures and walk down Higgins Ave.  It is the one parade in Missoula where there are far more people in the parade than watching the parade.

And the giant elephant was also at the parade again this year.  It is so cool.

Ben bought Sulli a bubble machine.  It's pretty cool.

Cooper likes it too

And Ben graduated!  We are so proud of him.

Hi, I'm Olivia, and I'm really fracking cute

Awesome cowlick!

"How you doin'?"

Missoula is showing off right now.  Sulli is soaking it all in.

Sulli almost did this hike alone.  We had to carry him a bit, but not much.  He is such a stud!

He's the best bro-co

Bye bye
