We have had a nice August so far. Pretty hot, but nice at night. Ben is still searching for work but has had several side jobs that ended up paying pretty well last month. I am amazed how undervalued a Masters education is these days. I know that something will come up for him and he does have some adjunct classes starting soon so that's good. My new job is really good, but we are moving to a different location soon so things may be changing. Ah, change...
It's all Lego's all the time! These are ship mobile and wheel ship mobile.

Ben made Sulli this awesome Lego station with motion sensor lights
The infamous fawns who have been living in our neighbor's yard
Cooper eats bubbles
Boys having din-din outside after playing in the pool
Sulli and I went to Garnet ghost town last week. It's about an hour drive and a 5 minute hike and really cool.
"People lived here?!"
It is totally open for the public to go into all the old houses and buildings. This was the jail.
This was the kitchen in the old hotel
The general store. The back room is where they used to butcher the meat. It has a sawdust floor and a chute from the outside to shove the cows and pigs down. I bet that place smelled awesome.
How they used to get their groceries and stuff back to their houses. It was a very cool day trip!
The garden is hit and miss this year. The peas did great, but our squash grew like crazy but never blossomed, same with the beans. One tomato plant died and lots of seeds failed due to rain rot.
Carrots are the only thing that made it in Sulli's boy garden, but they're doing pretty well
basil did well, but it seems to do well everywhere
Our garlic rocked this year!
hey Coops
Sulli and Cooper make-out on a regular basis
And it was fair time again! A fellow blogger took a pic like this last year and I have been waiting all year to take my own.
One of the first stops was the lego exhibit. We will enter one of Sulli's ships next year.
And, of course, the critters. Ben wouldn't let us see the pigs though since their is evidently a swine flu being spread at county fairs this year
First year that Sulli rode the rides. They were ridiculously expensive and way less exciting than the downtown Carousel if you ask me. But he had fun.
These rides are all so old. Being at the fair felt like stepping back in time. The rides aren't being updated as far as I can tell and they must be on their last legs. I feel like we are in the last dying breaths of county fairs.
Heaven!
So I really didn't think that Sulli would like this bungee thing but then we saw a 2 year old girl jumping 20 feet in the air having a blast and he wanted to try it. It cost $7 so I was really hoping he wouldn't chicken out. He didn't.
He screamed bloody murder when they lowered the bungees so he couldn't jump high anymore. If I had any more cash I would have paid for him to do it again and again. He was flying!
Sulli's first roller coaster
Ben's favorite ride, the Zipper. You couldn't pay me enough!
The fair really was so much fun with bubba this year. I can't wait until next year.
